2. How I Protect Your Data

Your personal data is processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). I have implemented both technical and organizational measures to meet my responsibilities under the law.

These include the use of antivirus software, regular password changes, up-to-date systems, and ongoing monitoring of relevant IT developments to safeguard against vulnerabilities and risks.

I only process the data necessary to carry out my professional role and have procedures for deleting data that no longer meets those criteria (data minimization). Sensitive information, such as health-related data, is encrypted or pseudonymized where appropriate.

3. What Data I Collect
and Why

3.1 When You Make an Inquiry

If you contact me with an inquiry, I store your contact details—usually your name, email, and/or phone number.

Purpose: To respond to your inquiry (based on legitimate interest under GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).

Retention: Up to 6 months after your inquiry is resolved.

3.2 If You Work with Me

If you become a therapy client or collaborate with me in another context, I store your contact information, including name, email, and/or phone number. For therapy clients, I also keep clinical notes, which may include sensitive information.

Purpose: Contact information is stored for billing and communication, based on our contractual relationship (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).

For therapy clients, a clinical journal and other notes are kept for therapeutic purposes and legal compliance, based on your explicit consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a) and Article 9(2)(a)). This includes special categories of personal data, also known as sensitive personal data, such as information about your health and any other sensitive data that you reveal to me during therapy.

You may withdraw your consent at any time, after which I will stop processing your data going forward. Any data already collected will be retained only to fulfill legal obligations (GDPR Article 6(1)(c)).

Retention: I store your data for as long as I am required to by the authorities, including health and tax authorities. In practice, Danish tax authorities require me to store your information for up to 6.5 years.

4. Confidentiality and
Third Parties

Your personal data is never sold or transferred to third parties for marketing. I do not transfer your data outside of the EU/EEA.

My website and digital tools are hosted on secure servers in the EU. I use trusted software for booking and invoicing. These tools are bound by data processor agreements and only act on my instructions in compliance with GDPR.

5. Your Rights

You have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation:
- Right to access your data
- Right to correct inaccurate data
- Right to delete data (with legal exceptions)
- Right to restrict or object to processing
- Right to data portability
- Right not to be subject to automated decision-making
